High-tech, precision and sporty elegance - the new Audi A6

Audi has redesigned its flagship executive-class model. The new A6 is set to make its market debut in early 2011. With its light body featuring numerous aluminum components, sporty chassis and a wide array of new assistance and multimedia systems, the full-sized sedan is packed with innovative solutions in every area of technology. The range of available engines and drivetrains is equally extensive. Combining the power of a V6 with the fuel efficiency of a four-cylinder engine, the soon-to-be-available A6 hybrid will be a special highlight of the lineup.


Body

* 4.92 meters (16.14 ft) long, 2.91-meter (9.55 ft) wheelbase, 530-liter (18.72 cubic ft) trunk capacity
* Lightweight body, numerous components made of aluminum and high-strength steel
* Optional xenon plus and LED headlights with LED tail lights, as well as adaptive lights including variable headlight range control

* Rich array of standard equipment including MMI radio operating system, engine start-stop button, multifunction steering wheel, two monitors, deluxe automatic air conditioning system, front center armrest, Audi pre sense and cruise control

Engines

* Four- and six-cylinder engines available, two gasoline engines and three TDI units at launch
* Redeveloped 130 kW (177 hp) 2.0 TDI, emitting 129 g CO2 per km (207.61 g/mile)
* V6 TDI with 3.0-liter displacement and 150 kW (204 hp), emitting 137 g CO2 per km (220.48 g/mile)
* Sporty A6 hybrid with system performance of 180 kW (245 hp)
* Manual transmission, multitronic, or S tronic for the drivetrain
* Four-cylinder with front-wheel drive, V6 with quattro drive standard or optional
* quattro drive with crown-gear center differential, optional sport differential for variable distribution of power to the rear wheels

Chassis

* Sophisticated chassis design, wheels ranging from 16 to 20 inches in diameter
* Newly developed high-efficiency electromechanical power steering
* Audi drive select dynamic handling system is standard
* Optional adaptive air suspension with controlled damping
* ESP with electronic limited slip differential on front-wheel-drive models and torque vectoring function for quattro vehicles

Assistance and infotainment systems

* Optional MMI navigation plus with MMI touch and 8-inch display, online services by Google, Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System
